Coco and Lafe at the Mineral Farmer's Market

Vermont and California based nationally touring singer-songwriters “Coco and Lafe” are performing 4 free concerts at Virginia area Farmer's Markets as part of their ocean-to-ocean “Get Fresh” tour. Their mission is to bring attention to buying local and eating healthy, and they are traveling 10,000 miles over six months to drive the issue home.

Visit the Mineral Farmer’s Market on September 18th from 8:30 - 1 for a free concert, some local produce and a little love from Lilla, their busking beagle. This is the perfect summer to “Get Fresh” with your local farmer’s market and some great music from Coco & Lafe.

All concerts are free to the public. For a list of other markets and times visit www.cocolafe.com or email Ronnie@cocolafe.com.

Mineral Farmer's Market

The Mineral Farmer's Market is thriving! We average 30 vendors each Saturday and there always seems to be something new and exciting to look at.

Much more than a farmer's market, you can watch a wool spinning demonstration, learn about plant care and pest management, try homemade hand-churned ice cream with seasonal fruit (yum!) and pick up goats milk soap and other body care treats. There are yard ornaments, honey, gorgeous flowers and plants available as well as offerings from our talented local bakers. You MUST try the pork sausage, but don't miss the moonshine barbeque sauce, fabulous jams, jellies and pickles, and hickory smoked BBQ . Of course you can sit in the shade of the redbud trees and enjoy a lunch of smoked beef brisket tamales with your friends and family. Need a picnic table or a customized piece of jewelry? Got those too!

Finally - the vegetables are rolling in! Ask for fennel, leeks, and microgreens, plus yellow tomatoes and other unusual, delicious produce. Ever tried stevia? Really REALLY fresh salsa with freshly made tortilla chips?
