Back for its 4th year, we'll open MAY 5th, 2012 at 8:00 AM, with a blessing of the field from the Reverend Marian Windel of Church of the Incarnation. NEW THIS YEAR! The MBA has enacted a $25, non-refundable application fee. The monies from this fee will offset advertising and Market costs. Submittal of an application does NOT guarantee approval. Each application must include the fee. Vendors who have not submitted the fee will not be allowed to set up. The Mineral Farmer's Market is thriving! We average 40 vendors each Saturday and there always seems to be something new and exciting to look at. Yup, we're a "Farmer's Market". Our farmers grow what they sell, know what they grow, and are proud of their food. The Mineral Farmer's Market is also proud of our other producers. You can watch an alpaca wool spinning demonstration, learn about plant care and pest management, try homemade hand-churned ice cream with seasonal fruit (yum!) and pick up goats milk soap and other body care treats. There are yard ornaments, honey, herbs and teas, gorgeous flowers and plants available as well as offerings from our talented local bakers. You MUST try the pork sausage, fabulous jams, jellies and pickles, and hickory smoked meats . Of course you can sit in the shade of the redbud trees and enjoy a homemade lunch - complete with fresh fruit smoothies - with your friends and family. Need a picnic table, adirondack chair or a customized piece of jewelry? Got those too!

We ask that produce and plant sellers (farmers) sell veggies and plants grown by their hand within the Commonwealth of Virginia, and that crafters and bakers sell only things they created. (No resellers/yard sale/flea market items please!)
